Happy New Year and welcome back!! Here is the line-up for this week:

Grade 7
7A and 7B- I will hand back your test that you wrote before the break and we will discuss it. Marks have already been posted to SAS. We will continue to talk about government in the colonies. We will review the qualities of a democracy. You will learn how to write an opinion paper using Ms MacDonald’s Formula for Writing…it works!!! Of course, you will write you first paper as well.

Grade 8
I have started to mark the 1920′s/30′s tests but I am not ready to hand them back. I’ll return them this week hopefully. We will begin the unit on World War II. I know that you are not surprised that I am excited about this. We will talk about what you already know, what you want to learn about and we will will start looking at the causes.

Grade 9-  I will begin to mark your projects as soon as the grade 8 tests are completed. In the meantime, we will begin a section on the global village.

Grade 7 Language Arts-  You should continue to  fill in a daily log for your reading (Due on Monday, January 9th)
We will review the developing ideas sheets that you worked on before the break. We  will begin writing our articles using Ms MacDonald’s Formula for Writing. It works!! Wednesday is a reading day.
